About Us

She's not "just a dog." She's family.

She's the one waiting at the door when you get home.

The one who follows you from room to room and somehow knows when you've had a hard day.

And if you're honest, there's a thought you try not to think about too often: they just don't get enough years with us.

So you do what you can. You take the long walks. You pay attention. And you want what goes in her bowl to be something you actually trust.

Then you turn over a bag of dog food and read a list of ingredients you can't pronounce, from places you'll never see.

You're left guessing what's really in there. We get it. We felt the same way.

That's why we started Emma's Dog.

Emma is our daughter and our dogs are her whole world. And we have a lot of dogs. Seven of them, to be exact.

On our farm, the dogs have jobs. Our livestock guardian dogs watch over the animals day and night. Our Texas Heelers are right there at chore time, ready to help move the herd. They're hardworking dogs through and through.

But to Emma, every one of them is her best friend. She's the one teaching the heelers tricks in the yard and curling up next to the guardian dogs on the porch. They'll come running from the pasture just for her.

Feeding seven farm dogs adds up fast. We were spending a lot on bags of food we didn't fully trust, while some of the best nutrition for them was coming from our own animals right here on the farm.

So we started making their food ourselves, with the same care we put into feeding our own family.

And we knew we weren't the only ones who wanted this for our dogs. So we decided to share it with you.

We named it after the girl who inspired it. Emma's Dog is made for dogs (and cats!) who are loved like family, because ours are.

From Pasture to Pet Bowl

We're Edwards Family Farms, a regenerative family farm in Nebo, NC.

We raise grass-fed beef, forested pork and pasture-raised chickens. Our cattle graze open pasture, our hogs root through the woods and our chickens scratch around in the grass the way they're supposed to.

Every recipe we make starts with meat from our own animals, processed at a USDA-inspected facility. Then we build each recipe that's vet-approved, so you can feel good about every meal.

You'll get to know exactly where your pup's food came from... right down to the farm and the farmer.

That's the kind of peace of mind you can't find on a store shelf.

Nothing Goes to Waste

This is the part we love...

When we raise an animal, we believe it deserves respect from start to finish. That means using the whole animal, not just the parts that are easy to sell.

Most of the steaks, roasts and chops go to the alphas (that's you, the humans). But the liver, heart and other organ meats are just as valuable.

Our grandparents knew this. For generations, nothing on the farm was wasted and the farm dog always got her share.

We're bringing that back. Those cuts become the food, treats and bone broth your dog will be dancing at the counter for. It's the way it's always been done on a good farm and we think it's how it should still be done.

Here's how easy it is:

  1. Visit our farm store in Nebo, NC. Click HERE for store hours and location.

  2. Pick up a couple packs of frozen pet food, treats and more (don't forget to grab a steak or chicken breasts for YOUR dinner, too!)

  3. Watch her (and your family) clean the bowl and look up at you for more.

You don't need to settle for food you're unsure about. She's counting on you, and you've got a farmer in your corner.
